For pop-rock quartet We The Kings, it’s all about staying connected — with each other, with their hometown roots, and especially with their fans. Named for hometown Bradenton, Florida’s King Middle School where they first made music together, the band — Travis Clark (lead vocals, guitar), Hunter Thomsen (guitar, backing vocals), Drew Thomsen (bass) and Danny Duncan (drums) — has grown into one of the most engaging and exciting acts on the pop-rock circuit. Talent, ambition, and hard work have all played a part, but for We The Kings, nurturing the bonds between the band and their fans is what makes it all happen.

It’s all too common these days to dwell on the negative, whether it’s a past relationship, a faltering economy or schoolyard bullies keeping you down, but with a little hope and positivity, anyone’s fortunes can change in an instant. It may not always be easy to find that all-important ray of sunlight, but in the end, it’s the love we give to the world that really matters, and the more we give, the more we get in return. 

Spreading this message has become the personal mission of Blood On The Dance Floor, and is the guiding theme of the electro-rock duo’s new full-length, Evolution. Moving away from the group’s prior efforts as musical provocateurs, the album captures a spiritual journey drawn from myriad influences in history, spirituality and literature.

Jim Jefferies, hailing from Australia, headlines around the globe this year with his most recent tour self-titled simply JIM JEFFERIES. In keeping with his reputation for being brutally honest, Jim cleverly subverts our expectation as he takes on topics such as fatherhood, love and education as well as his favourites: religion, porn and politics. 

On the heels of his third one hour wildly successful comedy special, FULLY FUNCTIONAL (EPIX, Fall 2012), he is currently starring in his own sitcom LEGIT with each episode centered around stories from his stand up. He stars in, writes and produces the show which premieres on FX January 17, 2013. One of the most sought after comedians, Jim returned this past summer to sold-out performances at Montreal’s Just For Laughs and Edinburgh’s Fringe Comedy Festival. Previously, Jim was seen in his Showtime one-hour comedy special ALCOHOLOCAUST and his debut JIM JEFFERIES: I SWEAR TO GOD on HBO. Jim’s bold and painfully honest commentary captivated all who tuned in. Jim has also been seen on HBO’s “Down and Dirty with Jim Norton” and he hosted “Live at Gotham” for Comedy Central.

From their halcyon days as America’s sweethearts to their current status as superstars who pioneered a genre, The Go-Go’s preside over an amazing three-decade reign as high pop priestesses. The internationally-loved pop hitmakers helped cement the foundation of the early 80′s pop-rock sound without the aid of outside composers, session players or, most importantly, creative compromise. From their very first show, The Go-Go’s sang and played their own songs, offering five feisty role models for a generation of ready-to-rock girls and good, hooky fun for pop-loving guys. 

Their story truly is a punk version of the American Dream. They came, they saw and they conquered the charts, the airwaves and, with their kicky kitsch appeal, pop culture in general. For a while, the band was virtually inescapable: TV guest shots, magazine covers, high-profile concert tours and movie offers turned Belinda Carlisle, Jane Wiedlin, Charlotte Caffey, Gina Schock and Kathy Valentine into certified rock stars. Their sparking California pop appealed to an astonishingly wide cross-section of music fans.

Desaparecidos is a rock band featuring Conor Oberst (vocals,guitar) Landon Hedges (bass guitar, vocals), Matt Baum (drums), Denver Dalley – (guitar) and Ian McElroy (keyboards). The band formed in 2001, released one album (2002’s Read Music/Speak Spanish), and broke up shortly thereafter. In 2010, Desaparecidos reunited to play The Concert for Equality in Omaha.
