“When I think of Soundgarden, I think of a sound, I think of one entity, one organic thing,” says singer and guitarist Chris Cornell, “but I guess that the exciting part is that it’s always been really varied.”
Hailed as grunge innovators, Soundgarden redefined rock music for a generation. In the 80s and 90s, the band’s mesmerising soundscapes and compelling lyrics seduced audiences hungry for originality. It was a sound rooted deeply within the wild landscape of the Pacific North West – an atmosphere which still resonates strongly for Cornell. “The band is dripping with it”, he says. “that indescribable longing. It’s not about the society, it’s not about the people, it’s not about the city. It’s some other thing.”
Take a peek at the latest video from Slightly Stoopid. Catch them in their return April 18th with Tribal Seeds.

Currently starring on NBC’s Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning “30 Rock,” Morgan appears opposite Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin as “Tracy Jordan,” the unpredictable star of Lemon’s (Fey) hit variety show, “TGS with Tracy Jordan.” In 2009 Morgan received his first Emmy Nomination for this role, in the Supporting Actor category; he has in five past years also been nominated for a Supporting Actor NAACP Image Award. The “30 Rock” cast has also won the Screen Actors Guild Award for “Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series.”
Last year was another busy one for Morgan. He was heard in the animanated film RIO, as the bulldog Luiz. Morgan next tackled the drama THE SON OF NO ONE with Al Pacino and Channing Tatum. The crime-thriller based on a young cop battling a secret from his past was selected to be a part of last year’s Sundance Film Festival and was released in November. PREDISPOSED, his next film which he stars in alongside Jesse Eisenberg and Melissa Leo was also an official selection at Sundance this year and will be out in late summer.

From his earliest recordings in the 1990s as a founding member of Uncle Tupelo, Jay Farrar has been a keen observer of the American landscape: its beauties and its tragedies, salvations and poisons.
It’s a perspective that’s been hard-won by steady touring and travel through this nation, and Farrar’s almost two-decades as the leader of Son Volt (as well as impressive turns as an acclaimed solo artist and collaborator) have only deepened and sharpened his gift for capturing the sights and sounds of his American journey – a gift which is in evidence once again on Son Volt’s sixth studio album: Honky Tonk.
Hoodie Allen just released his new video for Fame is for Assholes. Catch him March 13, but buy your tickets in advance!

Detroit. Willesden. Olympos, on the Greek island of Karpathos. “The inside of our skulls”. These are the places that make up Holy Fire, Foals third album, their most direct and fully realised album yet. Foals have stepped up from, as Yannis puts it, “songs for indie clubs” to something much, much bigger. Their third album might not sound like Depeche Mode or Nine Inch Nails, but it has much of the same ambitious spirit and grandiose aesthetic that led to those groups touching the lives of millions. This is the sound of Foals arriving.
Fall Out Boy issue statement regarding Spring Tour
Hi everybody!
Holy smokes, this has been an amazing week for us. In the past three shows we’ve done (our first in three years), we’ve been utterly humbled to see so many familiar faces.
The thing we’re not as happy to see is that, along with the most amazing audience in the world, there was also the inevitable return of folks looking to exploit and cheat that audience.
So here’s a few bullet points:
1) We don’t see (and wouldn’t want) any extra money from the unreasonable ticket prices scalpers are asking.
2) Neither do (to the best of our knowledge) the promoters we choose to work with.
3) Most importantly: We don’t want our audience to get cheated out of reasonably priced shows.
4) Combating this stuff is tough and we (along with our promoters) employed everything in our arsenal. We set 2 and 4 ticket limits in some places. In others we’ve required will call.
5) Outside of the official vendors linked on our sites, there are plenty of folks out there selling 100% fake tickets so please please be very careful.
We’d rather play to 10 excited people than 30,000 who are disappointed at having to pay 2 months rent to be there. We’re not saying this to fix PR or because we want to protect the “Integrity,” of our “Brand name,” but because we’re fans of music ourselves and we remember getting screwed by scalpers too.
To anybody who managed to get legitimate tickets to our shows, we’re so excited to see you. To the rest of you; We plan on being a band for a long time. Hopefully this isn’t your only chance to see us and hopefully by the time you do, there’s some better way to fight back against scalping.
Much love,
-fall out boy

Depends on which show you are inquiring about.
