ON SALE FRIDAY 1/24 AT 10AM!Saturday, April 26Slightly Stoopidwith TBA$22.50adv/$25dos • All Ages$2 Minor Surcharge at DoorDoors 7pm / Show 8pmWith more than a decade of making music together, the members of Slightly Stoopid have perfected one of the rarest and most valuable skills a band can develop: the art of the stealth groove, that knack for quietly, almost innocently, sliding into a composition, and utterly lassoing anyone within earshot by mid- song. That’s where the band has come to reside, musically: deep in the pocket, that ever-elusive, funky trench where a band can entrance an audience, hypnotize it and hold on to it until the set or CD is finished. Built on a bedrock of nasty, oceanic slabs of dubby bass, meditative vocal harmonies, rock-steady guitar licks and tightly syncopated percussive rhythms, Slightly Stoopid illustrates a case study in underground success, steeped in years of hard touring, an improvisational business model, and a creative process that continues to unwind and push the envelope of a new jam-based genre the band helped to create.

My friends and I are going to see Panic! At the Disco next week and we had two questions: Do you have a coat check, and what credit/debit cards are accepted for band merchandise?

Hello - Yes, we do have a coat check. It is located on the East side of the building and is $2.  Artists decide whether or not they will accept credit cards at the merch booth, so we won’t know until the day of the show. However, the majority of artists do accept them. There is also an ATM located in Suite 100 if you need to withdraw cash.

“There’s a certain uneasiness to the Toadies,” says Vaden Todd Lewis, succinctly and accurately describing his band—quite a trick. The Texas band is, at its core, just a raw, commanding rock band. Imagine an ebony sphere with a corona that radiates impossibly darker, and a brilliant circular sliver of light around that. It’s nebulous, but strangely distinct—and, shall we say incorrect. Or, as Lewis says, “wrong.” “Things are done a little askew [in the Toadies],” he says, searching for the right words. “There’s just something wrong with it that’s just really cool… and unique in a slightly uncomfortable way.”
